Spring bags trending saturated colors.

Remember when I wrote about Celine’s fall collection? Well my same fabulous friend was recently in Europe previewing the spring collection and thought you might enjoy some highlights.

I’m sure the butterflies will go over super well here in Asia. Bright colors were all the rage as you can see here! The above two pics are from Loewe (Loo-eh-vee) – a new brand to me that is growing like crazy in Asia.

Fendi (above) and Givenchy (below) both got the bright color memo.

As did Celine… I love these little three-pocket clutches. They pop apart so you can take one, two, or three along — or stuff one pocket into a larger bag if its functioning as a wallet.

I am loving orange right now, but don’t think it’s very practical for a bag~!

Someone told me the Celine luggage bag looks like a smiley face and now I can’t get that out of my head!

Look at all the fun new colors their classic box bag comes in!

A reading themed baby shower.

I had the pleasure of co-hosting a baby shower for a good friend here in HK.

My fabulous co-host Monique made up the invites and then we ran with the letter theme!

Loopy Mango.

If you have the good fortune of both being in NYC and being a knitter, then you probably already know about Purl. But just a few blocks away is a new knitting store called Loopy Mango.

Whereas Purl is prim and proper, Loopy Mango is more down home, earthy, and a little more relaxed–which is really refreshing. I really want to knit that striped Mila Mila dress (above right corner). And that giant yarn (below left) would make an amazing scarf! They have classes, knitting nights, and also sell things online.

I love that they hung a picture of a woman and her sheep. Good to remember, as with all things, where they come from!

Even if you’re not a knitter, this store has amazing jewelry, homewares, and clothing so I encourage you to stop in.

Loopy Mango: 78 Grand St., New York, NY 10013, 212 343 7425
