Insane libraries.

It’s been a very, very rainy and thunderstormy week. The kind that makes you want to curl up with a good book and not leave the apartment.

Flavorpill just did an awesome series on libraries so I’m including some of my personal favorites here. Check them all out: Public libraries around the world, College libraries around the world, and Public libraries in the US.

Mother’s Day and London 2012 Games.

Maybe the preggers hormones are getting to me, but isn’t this an amazing piece of viral marketing? Very impressed with P&G. Also a good reminder to think of what to do for your Mom for Mother’s Day–it’s three weeks away. A big thank you to two of my favorite NYW’s (New York Wives) for sending it over!

Yao Noi floating movie theatre.

Remember when I went to Thailand and went mountain climbing? Well right around the corner from Railei Beach, where I was staying, they just set up a floating movie theatre!

How cool is that? Tilda Swinton was one of the producers. Check out Film on the Rocks to learn more. Discovered on Black*Eiffel.

Anteprima Tennis bag.

I’ve been steadily working away on my tennis game for the last ten months or so… playing once or twice a week…

My tennis partner and I agreed that if we got decent we’d buy ourselves tennis skirts, but my growing bump is getting in the way of that, so instead I’m now just coveting this Anteprima tennis bag. Did you even think such a cute tennis bag could exist?! I also love a few of their other new bags.

Oh and they have some cute shoes, too!

See not all they do is Hello Kitty cute-ness, although that’s all they have in their shop here in Hong Kong. But if you do prefer their wire look, there’s also this tennis bag:

Crazy clouds over Victoria Harbor.

The other day I was baking away on a Friday night… the Mr. was stuck at the office… and around 9pm my neighbor (you know how much I love friendly neighbors!) rang me up and said have you looked outside?

And there was this very cool sea of clouds that made the tops of buildings look like ships afloat.

Sometimes you need a friend to ring you up and give you a little life perspective, right?! If she hadn’t called, all I would have seen that night was a whole lot of frosting.
