Casino attraction.

So the Chinese are really into attractions, specifically the type you can a. photograph and b. check off a list. Not surprisingly, all of the casinos in Macau have tried to capitalize on this by creating spectacles that happen on regular hourly intervals to bring people in the doors. Here is Wynn’s Golden Prosperity Tree. Basically, their main atrium is covered in elaborate golden serpents and foliage.

When the show begins, the ceiling opens up and a laser light show begins. 

Then a giant chandelier drops down from the ceiling.

Out come all the cameras for the main event: the giant golden tree…

…which changes colors as different lights are shone on it and is actually quite pretty. 

I wonder if it is really gold plated?
