They draw and cook.

I’m always looking for cooking inspiration and I love looking at graphic design and They Draw and Cook is the perfect combination of the two. Plus it’s super international. I’ve put together an Asian inspired little menu from this illustrated recipe blog that I hope to make sometime soon!

Appetizer from Sofia Matalonga Jorge, who hails from Portugal–there are so many eggplants here.

Cocktail from Nate Pavadick, from Massachusetts–I just had to throw this in because it’s my very favorite cocktail!

First course from Caleb Lin from Maryland–because I wish there was a Trader Joe’s here so I could buy the amazing frozen versions they sell for next to nothing.

Salad from Charirat Kittiyanupong from Thailand–I can’t get enough of the fresh fruit in Asia and after just four months of living here I’ve come to literally crave that sweet chili spice!

Entree from Johnathan Hawker, from England–we see this healthy preparation a lot on menus all over Asia.

Side from Bess Harding from England–I need to start tackling making noodles and this seems like a simple place to start.

Dessert from Jennifer Lorton from California–I’m obsessed with sticky rice and forbidden rice is all that much better!

  1. I love the idea of a visual recipe- you could almost make a neat sequence for more complicated steps. So much fun. If only I could draw…
