Amazing broach bouquet.

Isn’t this broach bouquet stunning?

Rhiannon gathered her grandmother’s lovely lacquer broach collection, plus some brooches and clip on earrings (and even a ring or two) from her mom, both her grandmothers, her great Auntie Helen and both of her husband Bill’s grandmothers, plus a few to fill it out purchased on E-Bay. Her florist then attached them to real flower stems.

Rhiannon has just the sweetest things to say about her stunning bouquet:

“According to my bathroom scale, the bouquet weighs 3.2 pounds. Which totally explains why my arm ached the day after my wedding. It currently sits on my mantle and and it makes me smile whenever I see it. I love that I have a bouquet that I can keep forever. Also, I know my Grandma would have loved to know her brooches were a part of our big day.”

  1. I think that’s fantastic! I wonder why she went with real flower stems and what happened with that afterwards. Seems like it would have been easier and cheaper not to involve the florist at all!
The bouquet strikes such a lively note — I love it!

  2. oh! that is so pretty. What a great idea. I love that she can keep it forever!
