Enter the Dragon: Tabletop.

On Saturday I had the pleasure of hosting a dinner for 14 for the supper club Once Upon A Table.

The group is composed of 14 friends who get together every couple of months and cook themed dinners in various Hong Kong homes.

After enjoying their snacks/beer event this past summer, I offered to host a dinner and it wasn’t until last weekend that our dates aligned!

I was in charge of the tabletop and the favors… Keeping with the dragon theme, I made origami dragon place card holders. Thank goodness for the Internet and step-by-step tutorials. They turned out cute, but they are not for the faint of heart! Each one took about 15 minutes!

For the flowers, I went with red amaryllis and then bought some pretty red paper to add some more dragon red to the table. Thank goodness for neighbors… who has 14 chairs anyways?! And card tables really are a godsend.

It was fun to get all my red things out (minus their green counterparts) from Christmas. Tomorrow I’ll show you the food… it was amazing!
