Loveramics new Tripod Porcelain Collection + GIVEAWAY: Salad bowl.

Loveramics, one of my favorite stores in Hong Kong, just came out with a new collection: Tripod!

The whole collection is so practical–everything is stackable to save cupboard space.

I really want to mix up a sauce in one of these bowls and then use the nice lip to pour it over something.

Wouldn’t these food storage pieces really dress up your pantry? I really love the different shades of blue they’ve chosen. The collection actually already won the Design Plus Award for 2011.

Loveramics is giving away their large salad bowl to one lucky HKHousewife reader. HKHousewife will cover the shipping to anywhere in the world–so anyone is welcome to enter!

To enter, simply leave a comment with the name and ingredients in your favorite salad. A winner will be chosen on August 29th! Good luck!!

If you’re local and haven’t been to the Loveramics shop in Sheung Wan, you must visit: 37 Tung St, Hollywood Road.

And, while we’re on the subject of giveaways, the winner of our Hocusadabra blocks giveway was Mary. Random.com spit out the number four. Her answer was:

“Oh, my favorite gift to give at a baby shower is a silver baby cup for the little one. My grandmother gave one to my siblings and I and it has proved to be such a great tradition, I am more than pleased to pass it along.”

Be sure to check out the comments in the post for some really great baby shower gift ideas. Congratulations to Mary and good luck to everyone in our current giveaway.

Calll me plain but i just like a plain old salad. Any greens tossed with tomato, onion, cucumber, black olives, not much else. I’ll eat just about any salad but that’s all it takes to satisfy me. 🙂

My new favorite salad of late is a Greek quinoa salad. I use whatever fresh vegetables I have on hand along with olives, artichoke hearts, feta cheese and then pour a mixture of olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic and apple cider vinegar over the top. very refreshing, and gluten free!

  8. I love a Salade Niçoise with seared Ahi tuna, olives, capers, tomatoes, hardboiled eggs, aspargus, fingerling potatoes and a light vinaigrette. Yum!

  9. Nothing gets a man fired up for a blog comment like stylie ceramics.
The best salad I’ve ever had is the Stetson at Cowboy Ciao in Scottsdale – I ate there three nights in a row while traveling for work. That said, I think it would be tough to replicate.
What I make instead is some variation of:
    – Fresh spinach – clean it well
    – Israeli Couscous (cooked and cooled)
    – Fresh corn (lightly boiled and cooled)
    – Toasted pine nuts – salted too
    – Goat cheese – crumbled
    – Cherry tomatoes – halved
    – Cucumber – seeded and cut small
    – Grilled chicken breast – chopped into bite size pieces
    – Light vinagrette dressing or whatever is ready to go in the refrigerator

Toss it up, throw it in an oversized bowl and enjoy…

  10. Anything with beets! I’ve made an easy one with spinach, beets, goat cheese, candied walnuts, and a citrus vinaigrette. Delish!

Also, I made a grilled fig salad a while back that was a hit, but I can’t find the recipe now. In its place, here’s one from The Girl and the Fig Cookbook: http://books.google.com/books?id=QxIaDQaWhBAC&pg=PA98&dq=grilled+fig+salad&hl=en&ei=7GUmTtfrFcjTiAKw0LnpCQ&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=1&ved=0CCwQ6AEwAA#v=onepage&q=grilled%20fig%20salad&f=false

  12. I love a good Greek-style salad, with romaine lettuce, fresh tomatoes and cucumber, kalamata olives, feta cheese, roasted lamb, and toasted pita. Topped with a lemon-olive oil dressing, this one wins me over every time!

  13. What a gorgeous bowl! My fave salad ingredients are arugula, baby spinach or romaine, goat cheese crumbles, dried cranberries and a sprinkle of hazelnuts.

  14. Newest summer salad discovery – watermelon, tomato, feta, mint, balsamic, big crusty croutons. So delish, clean and pretty!

  15. Love the design of the bowl! Cute yet very functional. I love a field of mixed greens with craisins, almonds, feta cheese, homemade balsamic dressing, with any available veggies : shredded carrots, sliced cucumber, cherry tomatoes, corn, and avocado! Yum!

  16. My favorit salad: Cherry wash, remove seeds, grind a little in the blender. Onion finely chopped and mix well. Serve with meat.
