Emily Eldridge gallery opening.

Remember when I said it’s great to have a friend who works in fashion? Well the same thing goes for art. My friend Lindsey tipped me off to this cool gallery opening last week.
I think Ginersnaps (above) is pretty awesome. Emily Eldridge seems to draw from both Scandinavian and Asian inspirations. She is from the US, went to SCAD in Savannah, now lives in HK and teaches at the new SCAD here.
Her work is all done on reclaimed objects… pieces of plywood, cardboard TV boxes, etc. Her pieces have such clever names. Above Peaches n’Cream. Below Rum Raisin.
If you’re local, make sure to check it out in person at New Gallery on Old Bailey, Soho, Central, Hong Kong. And check out the cool market bags Emily is selling with her designs on them.
Sweet Cheeks (above) would be pretty cute in a dressing room, don’t you think? Ta-ta for now… I’m off to put on something stripe-ed.
