The hardest thing about living abroad is being so far–in distance and in time zones–from loved ones. Being some odd 12 to 15 hours ahead + Daylight Savings Time (they have it, we don’t), they never know when to call or skype you! So Sydney Newsom and I teamed up to make this pretty chart which makes it really easy to know when the good times are to talk to people in the States: note the blue highlighting.
To download your very own *free* chart to stay in touch with loved ones, simply click this link. This would make such a nice gift for friends and family back home. You can either just send them this link or if you really want to be helpful you can print it out and cut out the box in their time zone. Maybe even laminate it? This would also be a great gift if you’re in the States and know someone moving to Hong Kong or anywhere in China (all of China, despite being as big as the US is one time zone).
