What is needed at any wedding dress fitting? *Fabulous* wedding shoes, champers, and your best, proximate girlfriends!
On Friday I posted some pictures of dresses I had made here in Hong Kong at Matador Couture. I got the tip because my friend Mo, who just tied the knot yesterday, had her wedding and bridesmaid dresses custom made there.
I was lucky enough to get to go along for the fitting awhile back, even though I couldn’t make the wedding yesterday in Chicago, which is very sad, but at least the little one on the way is the best possible reason to be grounded.
You really need girlfriends along to advise about things like ‘how big your poof should be,’ right?
It was the most unbelievable fitting because it was her first and ONLY fitting; the completely custom dress fit like a glove on day one, can you believe it? Not only did Mo get a perfect dress, but I’m sure she also saved a pretty penny.
I’ve waited to post these pictures just in case her now-Mr. hopped on and –eek!!– saw the dress!
Isn’t she just lovely and perfectly Audrey-esque?
Here we are discussing where the bustle should pin to… And here is an iPhone picture the girls at the wedding nicely sent over to keep me in the loop! Looks like they’re having fun, right!? A million congrats Mr. and Mrs. Perlmutter!
