ICC’s holiday light show.

Yesterday around 6pm I looked up from my work to see ICC’s holiday light show.

It’s pretty awesome, once you get over the fact that they’ve begun it 7 weeks before Christmas. It kicks off with full-building flashing and snow falling.

And then the reindeers start galloping across the building!

It’s super hard to capture with my limited photography skills, so you’ll have to take my word on it. Sidenote: I really do wonder what happens in that pink apartment every night.

Then Santa’s sleigh slides across the facade.

And lastly Merry X’mas runs across the top twenty floors. I used to think IFC (batman building on the right) was much cooler looking than ICC… but ICC does have some pretty awesome light abilities. And it’s also the 4th tallest building in the world with the highest bar in the world so that’s pretty cool, too. Visiting the roofdeck Ozone has been a big highlight of our visitors.

Besides the ICC holiday show, every night at 8:30 pm there’s a light show in Hong Kong that the tourism bureau started during SARS to encourage tourism.

The Hong Kong and Kowloon sides shoot lasers back and forth at one another timed with music that you can hear from the Starferry Pier. It really is pretty cool, I have to say. Hong Kong, in my opinion, has the best skyline in the world.
