Sending Love to Japan: Bake & Flower Sale

The lovely Diane (who is also the loveliest florist in town) and I are putting on a Bake Sale for Japan in two weeks time. Isn’t the invite she designed wonderful? I’m in charge of the baked goods (I’ve already begun freezing cookies!) and she is going to make some red and white bouquets, which will also be for sale. We’ll have champers, coffee, and Japanese wood block printing for kids. We’re also going to be doing a crane wishing tree where we’ll all be able to make and hang a crane expressing a wish for the Japanese during this difficult time.

If you would like to help out by baking something, please email me at natashamlawler@gmail.com. And if you’re local, please drop by on the 16th! All proceeds will benefit the relied efforts of my grandmother’s charity the Japan Volunteer Center… she’s on the ground right now in Japan lending a hand.

  1. What a wonderful event, that is great, it is even on my birthday! I hope you raise some good money. Can I contribute on line?
