HK bundle: 2 months.

Our little man is growing up so fast!!

He’s picked up a spare tire and is already outgrowing his clothes, which makes me ridiculously sad. Everyone tells you how tired you will be with a new baby, but they don’t tell you how much you will want to savor each second with your little one and how from day two you feel like they’re growing up too fast. I would definitely keep the sleepless nights in exchange for a few more days with his little self.

I feel like he has a hundred expressions a minute. And it is incredible how they can go from ecstatic to despondent in a mere instant.

Francis enjoyed a visit from his grandparents and he loved every second of it! And mom loved the company and ALL the help with the incessant diapers.

And also his Auntie Bridget, who is quite the baby whisperer!

How is that for a gangster scowl?

And I can’t help but leave you with a yawn. Baby yawns are seriously the cutest things in the world! All photos by Becky Beninans:

  1. What a handsome little guy!! Glad you’re enjoying each new day of his life. (Also, you look fantastic.) 🙂

  2. I LOVE the “gangster scowl”!
How wonderful that you got to spend time with your in-laws as well. I know the challenge of long distance family relationships. Enjoy each day as it comes. Babies have a way of changing your world one diaper at a time.

  3. If you can, try to take video of all the facial expressions, especially those times where he makes 25 different faces in a minute. My little man made a thousand little faces and then all of a sudden he stopped and I have so few pictures or video of them, which makes me want to cry. I’ve documented every day of his life and still it feels like it is going by way too fast. Sigh.

  4. He looks *so* much like Pippo in the photo where Bridget’s holding him!
Keep enjoying, and treasure the days; they are indeed fleeting.

  5. Gangster scowl! That is too funny – what an expression! Looks like motherhood suits you, Natasha!

  6. Natasha, you look amazing and Francis is absolutely adorable! Thinking of you often 😉

  7. Oh My Goodness. He is amazing. I love all his little faces – he has so much personality! Beautiful photos of you all.

  8. love him already

  9. Thanks so much for all the sweet words and Meghan… I, too, hate that feeling of having missed capturing a moment, but I just try to tell myself that there has to be somethings in life you just experience and hold in your memory alone… otherwise I’m so worried about photographing that I miss the actual joy in the moment. But I do appreciate your suggestion to video as much as I can and I’m definitely trying to do some of that so thank you so much.

  10. He is amazing! and you look fantastic!

I hate how fast they grow up…:( My little Christopher is on the move joining in with the big kids and I just want to keep snuggling him!

  11. Love these photos – he’s absolutely adorable. I felt like just as I got adjusted to the growing-out-of-cute-clothes-every-three-months, my daughter started school. Then I was staring high school graduation in the face. It’s just astonishing. Someone told me a helpful thing (and I would repeat it to myself on the bad parenting days): The days are long, the years are short.

  12. So adorable!!!

  13. What a handsome cutie he is, can’t WAIT to meet him!!!! xo
