Perfect penmanship.

As you probably all know by now, I love stationery more than anything, but what I can’t stand is my horribly messy handwriting. My sis-in-law Deirdre gave me the most amazing gift to help me “perfect my penmanship.”
First she included Write Now: The Complete Program for Better Handwriting, which she says is the best penmanship workbook out there. I have it with me to practice on long flights.
Then she made me two note books — yes, that’s write, made — with the wrapping paper of gifts I had given her. It made me so happy that the pretty paper didn’t end up in the garbage.

I had given her stationery in this letter paper and since really the only reason I want to improve my handwriting is to write better letters it just couldn’t be more perfect. And she even made a little envelope on the inner-flap.

Then, because she is a brilliant artist, she drew famous paintings for me to practice tracing and sketching to improve my dexterity.

It just couldn’t be a more thoughtful, resourceful, or useful gift!

  1. Wow, that’s amazing! What a clever – and lovely – gift. (and a great use for pretty leftover wrapping paper, which I always save, too.)

  2. ohh! That’s so nice! I love that you are practicing your penmanship. That is a pet pieve of mine. Why did people decide that penmanship doesn’t matter anymore??

Mine is far from perfect, but I never really think of practicing it, I’ll have to keep that in mind. 🙂
