Last week the Mr. and I celebrated our second wedding anniversary. It’s always wonderful to look back and reflect on our wedding and to be thankful for the best thing that has ever happened to me!
One of the best things about marrying the Mr. was inheriting six new siblings… and one of them, Deirdre, made us this egg as a wedding present. It is now our most valued possession. (By the way, I recently did an interview with Yolanda on the Minted blog and she is also into this egg tradition.) Deirdre just got engaged to a wonderful man and we couldn’t be happier for her! I need to get thinking on a gift for these lovely people now!
Clockwise from top: Cotton World of Beer boxers from J.Crew (the Mr. doesn’t do wine), white cotton tees (because he always needs ’em), The Cotton Club by Duke Ellington (great idea from my mother-in-law), a poker tablecloth from Beauville (with a note that I will cater and then leave the apt. for a poker night for him and the boys on a date of his choosing), and lastly the lyrics to our first dance song done on “cotton paper” in calligraphy by SoInklined (Jen out of Charlottesville, Virginia was the absolute sweetest!).
I really like how all the beers are spelled on on the boxers with their appropriate glass.
Didn’t she do an amazing job with the song?! I’m excited to get it framed.
Any other great cotton gift ideas folks? Love to hear ’em because I thought year no. two was tough, tough, tough. Check out our first (paper) anniversary gifts here.
